BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day as it fell to Hiram (Ohio) College by a final score of 15-3 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
Prior to the game, Bethany (1-11, 0-5 PAC) honored senior
Justice Smith (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) on completing his outstanding athletic career at Bethany. The Bison battled with Hiram (6-7, 2-3 PAC) throughout the first half including limiting the Terriers to just two goals in the first frame. Bethany cut into the Hiram lead during the second quarter, but a big second half lifted the Terriers past the Bison despite a pair of Green and White goals in the fourth quarter.

- Senior attack Justice Smith (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) celebrated his Senior Day by scoring one goal and adding one ground ball
- Freshman midfielder Darwin Ruiz (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) won a career-high 13 face-offs and scooped up a career-high four ground balls
- Freshman defender Levi Connally (Prince George's County, Md./Frederick Douglass) led the Bison defense once again with six ground balls and one caused turnover
- Sophomore midfielder Chance Funari (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) tallied a goal and an assist in addition to a ground ball and two CTOs
- Sophomore midfielder Corrie Miller (Etters, Pa./Red Lands) had a team-high three caused turnovers and picked up two ground balls
- Junior midfielder Griffen Carpenter (Stow, Ohio) scored the Green and White's third goal of the day on a highlight reel behind-the-back shot
- Freshmen midfielders Romeo Grullon (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) and Kenny Davis (Bartlett, Tenn.) each added one caused turnover for the Bison defense
- Junior All-PAC defender Matthew Rees (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) and freshman attack Braden Jones (Essex, Md./Kenwood) each tallied two ground balls
- Sophomore goalkeeper Owen Livengood (York, Pa./York Suburban) finished the day with 17 saves and four ground balls
Hiram Leaders
- Junior midfielder Kellen Wetz scored a game-high five goals and three assists for eight points
- Freshman defender Isaac Ray led the Terriers with 11 ground balls with four caused turnovers
- Senior goalkeeper Aidan Griffin made eight saves through 45 minutes in goal
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, April 11 as they travel to Steubenville, Ohio to take on the Franciscan University of Steubenville (Ohio) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at 4 p.m. at Trinity Health System Field.
