Softball Advances to Final Day of PAC Tournament

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The third-seeded Bethany College softball team defeated fifth-seeded Waynesburg (Pa.) University by a final score of 9-1 and defeated fourth-seeded Hiram (Ohio) College by a final score of 2-1 in the second day of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament at the Westminster Softball Field.

Bethany stayed alive in the PAC Tournament by sending two teams into the offseason with a dominant win over Waynesburg and coming back to hold off Hiram as the Bison are now one of three remaining teams fighting for a conference championship. The Green and White will now face off against the number-two seed Geneva in a rematch and elimination game on Monday, May 4 with the winner of that game meeting top-seeded Westminster in the PAC Championship Series.
