PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Bethany College cross country team competed in the 2026 La Roche Invitational hosted by La Roche (Pa.) University at the Alpha School Soccer Field.

After two weeks off, Bethany was back in action at the La Roche Invitational where the Bison raced individually against five other teams and had a representative in both the women's and the men's race. Carlow (Pa.) University won the women's 5K with a total of 45 points while the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg (Pa.) took home the top spot in the men's standings with 31 points.

Academic All-PAC senior Mary Tracey (Clarksburg, W.Va./Liberty) was the top-ranked individual competitor at the Invitational and finished fourth out of 24 runners in the women's race with a time of 26:54. 

On the men's side, freshman William Greenwood (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) also placed fourth with a time of 19:50 which was the third-best time among runners competing individually.

The Bison are back in action on Saturday, October 3 as they travel to New Concord, Ohio to compete at the Dan Mullen Invitational hosted by Muskingum (Ohio) University at 11 a.m. at Moorehead Farm.
