BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's soccer team fell to Ohio Wesleyan University by a final score of 4-0 in a non-conference game at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.

Bethany (0-2) Leaders

• Sophomore Academic All-PAC forward Fedgy Fertil (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum Senior) led the team with three shots with one on goal against the Battling Bishops
• Junior forward Derieck Hernandez (New Orleans, La./Kenner Discovery) took two shots including one shot on goal
• Sophomore goalkeeper Lucas Bassetti (New Kent, Va.) made a career-high five saves in goal for the Green and White

Ohio Wesleyan (1-1) Leaders

• Junior goalkeeper Zach Hertzberg saved a team-high two shots for the home squad
• Senior midfielder James O'Connor only needed one shot to open the scoring 
• Senior forward Jordan Domoe led all players with five shots

First Half (OWU 1-0)

• Bassetti made four of his five saves on the day
• Freshman forward Byron Santos (Kenner, La./Alfred T. Bonnabel) and Hernandez got the attack started early with back-to-back shots to open the game

Second Half (OWU 4-0)

• Fertil fired three of the Bison's four shots in the half

The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, September 9 as they host a non-conference game against La Roche (Pa.) University at 4 p.m. at Hoag Field.
