BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College women's soccer team tied the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford (Pa.) in a non-conference game by a final score of 1-1 on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
Bethany (0-1-1) opened the home schedule against Pitt-Bradford (0-0-1) and looked to build off last year's meeting with the Panthers. The Bison struck first with a quick second-half goal but the visitors were able to even the score and hold off the Green and White down the stretch to give each team their first tie of the year.

- Senior Academic All-PAC forward Jordan Palmer (East Liverpool, Ohio/Beaver Local) scored in her second straight game and took five shots with four on goal
- Senior All-PAC goalkeeper Hope Fair (Dunnville, Ontario/Lakeshore Catholic) posted nine more saves to keep Bethany in the game despite facing 17 shots
- Senior Academic All-PAC forward Brionna Bash (Niles, Ohio/Niles McKinley) notched her first point of the year with the Bison's lone assist of the day
- Junior forward Angi Ferri (Cadiz, Ohio/Harrison Central) also put up two shots in her first home game wearing the Green and White
Pitt-Bradford Leaders
- Freshman forward Lia Hageter took three shots and put the Panthers on the board with a goal
- Sophomore midfielder Charlotte Bobeck had one assist for the opposition and also took three shots
- Sophomore goalkeeper Josie Orinko saved six shots from the Bison
First Half (Tied 0-0)
- The Panthers outshot the Green and White by a 10-3 margin but Fair was able to make a save on all five Pitt-Bradford shots on goal
Second Half (Tied 1-1)
- 49:34 - Bash found Palmer on a fast break right out of the half to give Bethany the lead
- 59:01 - Hageter headed in a corner from Bobeck for the equalizer
The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, September 9 as they travel to Gambier, Ohio to take on Kenyon (Ohio) College in a non-conference game at 4:30 p.m. at Mavec Field.
