Matthew Wolf

Matthew Wolf enters his second season as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Bethany College in 2025.

Wolf leads the charge of the winningest soccer program in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) with over a decade of coaching experience in the world of college soccer. He comes to Bethany from Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE), which is the only junior college connected directly to Louisiana State University. During his two seasons serving as the head coach at LSUE, Wolf led the country in wins against ranked opponents en route to two national rankings (as high as #3 in 2023), two Region XXIII championships, and a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament. Wolf finished his final season at LSUE with the finest season in school history going 12-1-1, boosting his multi-season record to 24-8-1 while staying undefeated at home (11-0).

Before his success in Louisiana, Wolf landed his first head coaching job at NCJAA Crowder College in Missouri where he led the team to a runner-up finish in Region XVI.

Wolf began his impressive career as an assistant coach at Whitworth University in Wash., helping coach a top 10 nationally ranked team that posted 13 shutouts. He spent a few years at the University of Providence in Mont., winning a conference title in the process before heading west to Los Angeles, Calif., to join the coaching staff at Occidental College. That fall, Occidental achieved their first ever national ranking. Wolf stayed near the coast but traveled north for his next position at Rogue Community College in Ore. He chose to go inland for his final assistant job at Indiana University East where he served for four seasons.

Starting September 2025, Wolf is also a member of the NCAA Men's and Women's Soccer Rules Committee where his duties include participating in committee meeting and conference calls, sustaining and advancing the Association's mission, tradition, values, and reputation, committing to serve the Association as a whole rather than any part of it or any personal or political cause, and supporting the consensus of the committee after fully exercising the responsibility to debate and disagree.
