Oct. 29 – WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Bethany College men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday evening.
The Presidents offense was impressive in the first frame, scoring three goals en route to a 3–0 lead at half.
The second half saw the Bison notch their only goal of the contest, as freshman Ryan Power (Sydney, Australia/Lisarow) scored in the 74th minute to trim the deficit to two goals (3-1).
That would be as close as the Bison would get, however, as W&J tacked on another goal en route to winning 4-1.
Leading the way for Bethany were Power and sophomore Jack Waters (Epsom, United Kingdom/Glyn School). Power scored the lone Bethany goal, while Waters had an assist.
The Bison will wrap up their regular season on Saturday, Nov.1 as they host Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Geneva College. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
