Sept. 17 – STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Bethany College men's soccer team suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Franciscan University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Barons would score the only two goals of the first half, as they entered intermission with a 2-0 lead over Bethany.
The second half was more of the same, as Franciscan added four more goals, defeating the Bison 6-0.
Bethany had opportunities in the contest registering 27 shots, but were unable to capitalize on their chances.
Sophomore Jack Waters (Epsom, United Kingdom/Glyn School) and freshman Ryan Power (Sydney, Australia/Lisarow) led the way for the Bison offense. Waters logged a team-high eight shots, while Power added four.
The Bison will be back at the pitch on Saturday, Sept, 20 as they play host to Carnegie Mellon. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
