Sept. 20 – BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday afternoon.
The Tartans got on the board quickly, taking a 1-0 lead at the 10th minute on a goal from Jimmy Jameson.
Carnegie Mellon would later add two more goals in the first half, entering intermission with a 3-0 advantage.
The second half saw the visitors add another goal, as the Bison were unable to muster up any offense, falling by a 4-0 score.
Freshman goalkeeper Riley Harrsion (Ballarat, Australia/Ballar Grammar) played all 90 minutes at goal for Bethany. He finished with eight saves on 28 Tartan shots.
The men will hit the pitch next on Tuesday, Sept. 23, as they travel to New Concord, Ohio for a non-conference battle with Muskingum University. Game time is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
