The Bethany College men's basketball team suffered its fourth straight loss, falling to Thiel Tuesday, 83-72, on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Field House.
After scoring the first two points of the second half to pull to within three, the Bison was outscored 15-3 over the next six minutes to fall into a double-figure deficit. The deficit hovered around eight to nine points, and with a 7-0 spurt, Bethany trailed by just five points with a little under five minutes remaining.
However, back-to-back Thiel baskets stemmed the Bison momentum, and the Tomcats held on for the victory.
Cole Dailey led a trio of double-figure scorers with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting with four rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. Jess Roller finished with 11 points and three rebounds, while Bryson Bishop tallied a career-high 11 points with six rebounds.
