OXFORD, Ohio – The Bethany College men's basketball team fell to NCAA Division I Miami University Sunday, 112-70, in exhibition action inside Millett Hall.
The Bison played well offensively, shooting 49.1 (27-of-55) percent from the floor. However, the Redhawks were dominant on the glass, leading to a 27-4 advantage in second-chance points.
Bethany was only outscored by eight points in the second half, 50-42, after being outscored 62-28 in the first half.
Ben Guffey led a trio of double-figure scorers with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting, while Troy Hixson added 11 points and Cole Dailey had 10 points, a team-high four rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal.
Bethany travels to Beaver Falls, Pa. 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, playing Geneva in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
