Women's Volleyball Earns PAC Sweep Over Geneva

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College women's volleyball team defeated Geneva (Pa.) College by a final score of 3-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match on Joe Kurey Memorial Court in Hummel Fieldhouse.

Bethany (7-12, 4-6 PAC) Leaders

  • Freshman setter Grace Padavick (Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) recorded her second-career 30+ assist game with 32 assists and also had 14 digs to complete the double-double
  • Senior outside hitter JaSona Belyeu (McKeesport, Pa.), freshman defensive specialist Maddie Koprivec (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Northwest, and freshman outside hitter Isabella Poppelriter (Wellsville, Ohio) each led the team with three aces
  • Senior Academic All-PAC middle blocker Averie Braymer (Saegertown, Pa.) led the team in kills with 11 while hitting .450 on 20 attacks
  • Sophomore middle blocker Ashton Thomas (Toronto, Ohio), freshman middle blocker Layla Smith (Lakewood, Ohio), and Poppelriter each tallied eight kills for the Green and White
  • Senior Academic All-PAC libero Andie Clark (Columbus, Ind./Hauser) headlined four Bison with digs in the double figures after finishing with 15
  • Sophomore Academic All-PAC defensive specialist Avery Askew (Ontario, Canada/Parkside Collegiate Institute) was the fourth Bison to reach 10+ digs with 11 and one service ace
  • Poppelriter also added 12 digs to her big day

  • Heather Seubert tied a game-high 15 digs
  • Emily Nelson finished with a team-leading eight kills and 13 digs
  • Laura Goonewardene notched 23 assists
