ATLANTA, Ga. - The Bethany College women's basketball team fell to Dickinson (Pa.) College by a final score of 70-61 to open the Emory Tip Off Classic hosted by Emory (Ga.) University in Woodruff PE Center Arena. 

Bethany (1-2) Leaders

• Graduate All-PAC guard Lindsey Garrison (Triadelphia, W.Va./Wheeling Park) posted the Bison's first 20-point game of the season with 21 points, three rebounds, and three assists
• Sophomore Academic All-PAC guard Addy Blazer (Hanoverton, Ohio/Beaver Local) finished with a season-high 10 points as well as leading the team in rebounds with six, assists with four, and steals with three
• Senior Academic All-PAC forward Kaedlee Potter (Barboursville, W.Va./Cabell Midland) also reached double figures as she posted 10 points and four rebounds
• Junior All-PAC forward Kate Botti (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) blocked two shots and scored seven points
• Freshman guard and PAC Newcomer of the Week Lindsey Best (Rayland, Ohio/Martins Ferry) tied a team-high six rebounds and four assists

Dickinson (2-1) Leaders

• Senior forward Mia Chapman scoerd 18 points with seven rebounds
• Senior forward Victoria Zerbe posted game-highs in rebounds with eight and in blocks with five
• Senior guard Leah Dubin led all players by recording five assists

First Quarter (Bethany 18-12)

• The Bison took the lead on a 14-5 run in the first four minutes of the game
• Bethany shot 53.3% from the field to the Red Devils' 30.8%

Second Quarter (Bethany 35-27)

• Blazer recorded two of her assists on the day while also sinking two free-throws
• Best grabbed four of her boards including her only two defensive rebounds

Third Quarter (Tied 50-50)

• The Green and White scored five quick points to begin the half and to take a 40-29 lead: their largest of the day
• Dickinson went on a 21-10 run to end the period and enter the fourth quarter locked up at 50

Fourth Quarter (Dickinson 70-61)

• Both teams traded punches down the stretch, but eight straight points by the Red Devils in the final two minutes gave Dickinson the win to open the Classic

The Bison are back in action on Sunday, November 16 as they resume the Emory Tip Off Classic hosted by Emory (Ga.) University as they take on No. 12 nationally ranked Randolph-Macon (Va.) College at 1 p.m. in Woodruff PE Center Arena.
