NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Bethany College women's soccer senior All-Presidents' Athletic Conference forward
Monica Bird (McKinnon, Antigua/St. Anthony's Secondary School) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career and for the first time this season.
Bird earns her second career weekly honor after posting a career-best eight-point performance to lead the Bison to a 6-1 victory over Thiel in the team's 2025 season finale. Against the Tomcats, she took a game-high seven shots and scored a career-high four goals falling just one goal short of the program's single-game record.
This season,
Bird appeared in and started 15 games as she led the team in goals with six including one gamewinner and was also tied for the team-lead in scoring with 13 total points. She recorded one assist on the year and was third on the team in shots with 29 and 15 on goal.
In her career,
Bird has appeared in 51 games making 50 starts. She has scored 23 goals including seven gamewinners and has recorded 11 assists for a total of 57 points while taking 107 shots.
Bird is a two-time All-PAC selection, a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, an Academic All-PAC selection, and earned her previous weekly honor on October 14, 2024.
The Bison finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 2-14 and a 1-10 record in the PAC.
