Five Bison in Double Figures Lifts Men's Basketball Over Penn State-Beaver

MONACA, Pa. - The Bethany College men's basketball team defeated Penn State University-Beaver by a final score of 94-74 in a non-conference game at the Gary B. Keefer Wellness Center.

Bethany (2-5) Leaders
  • Sophomore forward Bryson Bishop (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins) led the team with nine rebounds while also tying a team-high 16 points
  • Senior guard Co Rose (Odessa, Texas) also scored 16 points and tallied four rebounds, four assists, and two rebounds against the Lions 
  • Senior guard Ryan Reasbeck (Washington, Pa./Wheeling Central Catholic) added 15 points including three three-pointers and added six rebounds
  • Freshman guard Semaj Marshall (Washington, D.C./Parkside) assisted a game-high eight times and registered four steals and four points
  • Graduate Academic All-PAC guard Troy Hixson (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) finished with 12 points and three rebounds
  • Sophomore forward Jayden Jackson (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora) was the final Bison to reach double figures with 10 points
Penn State-Beaver (3-7) Leaders
  • Senior forward Jabari Gayle led all players with 17 points
  • Junior guard Jermaine Knaff had a team-best eight rebounds with 12 points
  • Senior forward Trevor Franklin finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and two steals
First Half (Bethany 49-26)
  • Reasbeck drilled all three of his shots from deep and scored 13 points
  • The Green and White shot 54.5% from the floor to Penn State-Beaver's 32%
Second Half (Bethany 94-74)
  • Marshall collected five of his eight assist on the night
  • Rose led the team in scoring with 11 points
  • The Bison defense forced 11 turnovers
The Bison are back in action on Sunday, December 7 as they travel to Erie, Pennsylvania to take on Mercyhurst (Pa.) University in an exhibition game at 2 p.m. on Owen McCormick Court at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
