Men's Basketball Takes Down Juniata in Fourth Quarter Thriller

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Bethany College men's basketball team defeated Juniata (Pa.) College by a final score of 65-61 in a non-conference game at Memorial Gymnasium.

Bethany (3-5) Leaders
  • Senior guard Ryan Reasbeck (Washington, Pa./Wheeling Central Catholic) scored a game-high 20 points including four threes while also grabbing eight rebounds
  • Senior guard Co Rose (Odessa, Texas) finished with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal
  • Graduate Academic All-PAC guard Troy Hixson (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds
  • Sophomore forward Jayden Jackson (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora) added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Bison
  • Freshman guard Jaden Stewart (Pikeville, Ky./Pikeville County Central) scored nine points off the bench while also blocking a game-high three shots
Juniata (2-7) Leaders
  • Junior guard Ty Kocak led the Eagles with 19 points
  • Sophomore forward Jayden Bilger tallied a team-high nine rebounds and six points
  • Freshman guard Joe Bruce added 14 points
First Half (Juniata 31-28)
  • Juniata got out to a 10-point lead twice in the first half, but the Bison went on a 13-6 run to close out the half
  • Hixson grabbed seven boards as Bethany outrebounded Juniata 26-19 
  • The Green and White's nine offensive rebounds set up seven second-chance points
Second Half (Bethany 65-61)
  • Reasbeck and Stewart led the Bison offense with 13 points and nine points, respectively
  • Rose found Reasbeck as he drained the go-ahead three with 17 seconds left to play
  • Stewart and sophomore guard Bryson Bishop (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins) each registered two blocks
The Bison are back in action on Sunday, December 14 as they host Saint Vincent (Pa.) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup at 3 p.m. on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.
