NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Bethany College men's golf freshman Ian Longo (Winchester, Va./James Woods) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Golf Newcomer of the Week for the first time in his career.

Longo earns his first career weekly accolade after having the best round of his young career by shooting a 77 (+5) to tie for 23rd overall at Monday's Grove City Fall Invitational. His round consisted of three birdies, eight pars, and he had a 4.75 average on Par 5 holes as the first-year competed individually while the Bison played to an eighth-place finish.

In his career, Longo has appeared in three tournaments with scores of 78, 89, and 77 including five birdies for a 81.33 stroke average.

The Bison are back in action on Monday, October 6 as they travel to Centerville, Pennsylvania to compete at the Waynesburg Fall Invitational hosted by Waynesburg (Pa.) University at 9 a.m. at the Nemacolin Country Club.
