Rose Scores Season-High as Men's Basketball Holds Off Waynesburg

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Bethany College men's basketball team defeated Waynesburg (Pa.) University by a final score of 85-77 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game the PAC Sports Network's Game of the Week in Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.

Bethany (7-9, 3-4 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior guard Co Rose (Odessa, Texas) dropped a new team season-high with 29 points including shooting 7-for-13 from three marking his most in a game since scoring 40 in his sophomore season
  • Sophomore forward Jayden Jackson (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora) recorded his sixth double-double on the year finishing with 18 points and 13 rebounds to help guide the Bison past Waynesburg
  • Senior guard Ryan Reasbeck (Washington, Pa./Wheeling Central Catholic) scored 14 points including 12 in the first half shooting 5-for-7 from the floor and 66% from deep
  • Graduate Academic All-PAC guard Troy Hixson (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) also reached double-figures with 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists
  • Senior guard TJ Jenkins (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) finished with a team-best five assists and three blocks in his first start of the year 
Waynesburg (6-10, 2-5 PAC) Leaders
  • Junior guard Aiden Blake led the Yellow Jackets with 23 points and tied a team-best five rebounds
  • Senior guard Jalen Goins notched a team-high five assists
  • Junior guard Jackson Rhodes added 19 points including going 9-for-9 at the free-throw line with five rebounds
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, January 24 as they travel to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to take on Geneva (Pa.) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup at 3:30 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse.
