Men's Volleyball Falls to Mount St. Joseph in Straight Sets

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's volleyball team fell to Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) University by a final score of 3-0 in a non-conference match on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.

Bethany (0-2) Leaders
  • Freshman outside hitter Braeden Reedus (Blacklick, Ohio/Reynoldsburg) served up a team-high two aces while tying the team lead in kills with four
  • Freshman setter Zachary Kay (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) also notched four kills while assisting nine times
  • Sophomore Academic All-PAC libero Cole Thomas (Lindside, W.Va./James Monroe) led the Green and White defense with six digs
  • Sophomore right-side hitter Baylen Loosier (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Science & Tech Academy) added eight assists and tallied three digs
  • Junior middle blocker Rylan Trapp (Belleville, Ill./Belleville Township) and freshman right-side hitter Julian Huerta (Bolingbrook, Ill.) each recorded three kills and combined on the Bison's only block of the day
Mount St. Joseph (1-2) Leaders
  • Senior outside hitter Jude Lewis led all players with 11 kills and added five digs
  • Sophomore setter Brayden Bass posted a match-high 30 assists
  • Sophomore libero Sean Murray led the Lions with 13 digs
