BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's basketball team defeated Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College by a final score of 87-83 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.
Bethany (5-7, 1-2 PAC) Leaders
- Freshman guard Jaden Stewart (Pikeville, Ky./Pike County Central) went off for a career-high 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting from deep while adding four rebounds and three steals
- Sophomore guard Bryson Bishop (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins) led the team in rebounds once again with eight all while tying a season-high 16 points
- Senior guard Co Rose (Odessa, Texas) tied a team-high 18 points with a game-high five assists and three rebounds
- Freshman guard and PAC Newcomer of the Week Semaj Marshall (Washington, D.C./Parkside) carved up the President defense with 14 points, five assists, and five rebounds
- Senior guard Ryan Reasbeck (Washington, Pa./Wheeling Central Catholic) scored 11 points with nine of them coming from beyond the arc
- Graduate Academic All-PAC guard Troy Hixson (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) got hot late with eight points in the second half and grabbed five rebounds
- Sophomore forwards Jayden Jackson (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora) and JB Mongeois (Royal Palm Beach, Fla./Palm Beach Central) held down the paint with four rebounds and three rebounds, respectively
W&J (9-3, 2-1 PAC) Leaders
- Junior forward Nathan Plotner scored a game-high 23 points with five rebounds and five steals
- Senior guard Matt Seidl recorded a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds
- Sophomore guard Quinton Burlenski added 13 points to the W&J offense
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, January 10 as they travel to Hiram, Ohio to take on Hiram (Ohio) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at 3 p.m. in Price Gymnasium.
