Women's Basketball Falls in Battle With W&J

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College women's basketball team fell to Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College by a final score of 64-50 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.

Bethany (6-6, 1-2 PAC) Leaders
  • Junior Academic All-PAC forward Kate Botti (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) led the way with 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocks falling just one board short of a double-double
  • Senior Academic All-PAC forward Kaedlee Potter (Barboursville, W.Va./Cabell Midland) did it all for the Bison with a career-high five blocks in addition to her statline of nine points, seven rebounds, three steals, and one assist
  • Freshman guard Lindsey Best (Rayland, Ohio/Martins Ferry) posted a career-best nine rebounds with six points, five assists, and two steals
  • Freshman guard Martina Howe (Clarksburg, W.Va./Robert C. Byrd) finished with six points, two rebounds, an assist, and a block in her Green and White debut
  • Sophomore guard Ella Simpson (Morgantown, W.Va./University) and sophomore guard Amaria Jones (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) each also added six points for Bethany
W&J (8-4, 3-0 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior guard Stellanie Loutsion scored a game-high 15 points including the 1,000th of her career
  • Junior guard Raegan Kadlecik finished with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double
  • Junior guard Marina Grado talllied a team-best four steals and four assists
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, January 10 as they travel to Hiram, Ohio to take on Hiram (Ohio) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at 1 p.m. in Price Gymnasium.
