Women's Basketball Outlasts Allegheny in PAC Tournament First Round, Advances to Semifinals

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Bethany College women's basketball team defeated Allegheny (Pa.) College by a final score of 65-55 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals in the David V. Wise Center.

Bethany (17-9) looked to earn the program's first road playoff win since the 2021-2022 season while Allegheny (13-13) eyed revenge after the Bison won the only meeting between the two squads earlier in the 2025-26 campaign. The game was one of runs as the Gators got out to a hot start in front of their home crowd, but the Bison would quickly answer. Just when it seemed that the Green and White would pull away, however, Allegheny worked itself right back into the game leading to a one-possession game with one minute to play. Bethany would end the battle with seven straight points to eliminate Allegheny and advance to the PAC quarterfinals where they will travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to take on first-seeded Saint Vincent on Thursday, February 26.
