Men's Volleyball Hangs Tough with Chatham in Midweek Matchup

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Bethany College men's volleyball team fell to Chatham (Pa.) University by a final score of 3-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match in the Athletic and Fitness Center.

Bethany (1-9, 0-4 PAC) Leaders
  • Junior middle blocker Rylan Trapp (Belleville, Ill./Belleville Township) led the Bison on both sides of the net with six kills on 11 attacks, three block assists, and three digs
  • Freshman setter Zachary Kay (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) tallied a career-high 21 assists, served up a team-best two aces, and contributed two kills and a block
  • Sophomore Academic All-PAC libero Cole Thomas (Lindside, W.Va./James Monroe) finished with a team-best five digs with two assists
  • Sophomore middle blocker Emilio Feliciano (El Mirage, Ariz./Dysart) put down five of his six attacks for kills and recorded a dig
  • Junior outside hitter Tyler Johnson (Oswego, Ill.) posted three digs, two kills, and one service ace
  • Four other members of the Green and White had a multi-kill game in part of the team's 24 on the night

  • Junior right-side hitter Tim McCabe had a game-high 15 kills with two aces
  • Sophomore setter RJ Nagg led all players with 40 assists and added six digs
  • Freshman outside hitter Derek Paul tied a team-high six digs and notched 12 kills

The Bison are back in action on Saturday, February 28 as they travel to Grove City, Pennsylvania to compete in the Grove City Tri-Match as they take on Grove City (Pa.) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at 10 a.m. and Penn State University-Behrend in a non-conference match at 12 p.m. in Grove City College Arena.
