BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's basketball team defeated Grove City (Pa.) College by a final score of 93-81 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game as the team celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the 2005-06 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Team on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.
The 2025-26 basketball season marks the 20th anniversary of Bethany's 2005-06 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Team who, under the leadership of head coach Aaron Huffman, secured the school's second straight PAC Championship and the eleventh in the program's history. The Green and White finished with an overall record of 23-5 including an 18-game win streak highlighted by a 95-64 victory over Waynesburg in the PAC Championship Game. Bethany (9-12, 5-7 PAC) recognized several members of the 2005-06 team at halftime after taking a 16-point lead in the first half to put Grove City (8-13, 5-7 PAC) away and to stay alive in the hunt for a spot in the PAC Tournament.
Bethany Leaders
- Senior guard Ryan Reasbeck (Washington, Pa./Wheeling Central Catholic) led the way for the Bison with 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting and a 60% mark from three
- Freshman guard Jaden Stewart (Pikeville, Ky./Pikeville County Central) nailed four threes on his way to 14 points and two rebounds
- Senior forward Alex Andrews (Ocoee, Fla.) finished with 10 points, five rebounds, and a team-high three steals
- Graduate Academic All-PAC guard Troy Hixson (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) also contributed four three-pointers as he scored 16 points
- Sophomore forward Jayden Jackson (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora) posted 15 points with eight rebounds, an assist, and a steal
- Senior guard Co Rose (Odessa, Texas) tallied a game-high eight assists to go with his 14 points, five rebounds, two steals, and a block
Grove City Leaders
- Senior guard Mike Christenson and senior guard Kyle Randle each finished with a game-high 22 points and six rebounds
- Junior forward Austin Johncour tied a game-high eight rebounds with 19 points
- Junior guard Caleb Haller added a team-leading three assists, three rebounds, and two points
The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, February 11 as they host Waynesburg (Pa.) University in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at 5:30 p.m. on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.
