Women's Lacrosse Takes on Point Park in Makeup Game

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Bethany College women's lacrosse team fell to Point Park (Pa.) University by a final score of 23-0 in a non-conference game at Highmark Stadium.

Bethany (6-5) Leaders
  • Senior All-PAC defender Emily Wenger (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) led the Bison with six ground balls, three caused turnovers, and four draw controls
  • Senior Academic All-PAC defender Gabby Hicks (Chinchilla, Australia) added two ground balls and forced one Pioneer turnover
  • Junior Academic All-PAC midfielder Tatum Severe (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) also had one caused turnover with two ground balls and one draw control
  • Senior midfielder Catharina Recabeitia (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Escuela Normal Superior-Vicente Fatone) was the fourth Bison to have two ground balls and also won one draw control
  • Junior Academic All-PAC midfielder Ally Barclay (Nashport, Ohio/Tri-Valley) and Hayden Chickerell (Fairmont, W.Va./Fairmont Senior) both forced one turnover
  • Freshmen Elaina Felter (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Chickerell each supplied a shot on goal for the Bethany attack
  • Senior Academic All-PAC goalkeeper Madison Wagoner (Morgantown, W.Va./University) made 10 saves and picked up two ground balls
  • Four other members of the Green and White grabbed a ground ball
Point Park (5-8) Leaders
  • Freshman attack Gracie Favela scored a game-high six goals
  • Junior defender Presley Masters led the team with five ground balls
  • Freshman attack Andrea Kinger assisted a team-high eight times and finished with 12 points
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, April 11 as they travel to Cresson, Pennsylvania to take on Mount Aloysius (Pa.) College in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. at Kelly Field.
