WOOSTER, OH - The Bethany College men's soccer team was defeated by The College of Wooster in the season opener by a final score of 5-0.

Bethany fell behind early and were unable to get the offense clicking. The Fighting Scots outshot the Bison 37-6 as they ran away with this game in the first half.

• Junior Derieck Hernandez had Bethany's lone shot-on-goal. He tallied three shots on the game.

• Freshman Carlos Monque slid into the goal in the second half. He led the team with eight saves. 

The Bison are back in action on Saturday, September 5th against Ohio Wesleyan. The away match is set for 2 p.m. at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex in Delaware, Ohio.
