Palmer Scores in Season Opener


CINCINNATI, OH - The Bethany College women's soccer team fell short in their season opener against Mount St. Joseph 5-1.

 

Bethany was able to get on the board in their first game of the year. Senior Jordan Palmer was able to find the net in the 60th minute of the game, but it wasn't enough for the Bison to pull ahead. 

 

Bethany (0-1) Leaders

  • Palmer led the team with two shots. Her only shot on goal escaped the goalie's hands to erase the shutout. 

  • Sophomore Angelina Clayborne tallied her first assist of her career at Bethany.

  • Hope Fair racked up nine saves despite only playing the first 45 minutes. 

 

The Bison will host their next contest at historic Hoag Field. Bethany rescheduled their game against Pitt-Bradford to Sunday, September 6th at 1 p.m.
