NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Bethany College football freshman kicker Luis Fuentes (Amarillo, Texas/Palo Duro) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week for the first time in his career.

Fuentes is the second Bison to win the PAC's weekly honor this season after making his first collegiate start in Bethany's Homecoming victory over Thiel. Against the Tomcats, Fuentes connected on all seven of his extra point kicks and added a field goal of 20 yards for 10 of the Green and White's 52 points. Thanks to the high-scoring Bison offense, Fuentes also had nine kickoffs for 450 yards for an average of 50 yards a kick.

This season, Fuentes has appeared in all three games where he has 14 kickoffs for 661 yards.

The Bison are back in action Saturday, September 26 as they host a Presidents' Athletic Conference game against Geneva (Pa.) College at 1 p.m. on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
