HIRAM, Ohio - The Bethany College swimming and diving team competed against Hiram (Ohio) College and Oberlin (Ohio) College in the Hiram Tri-Meet at Alumni Memorial Pool
Bethany (0-6, 0-3 PAC) traveled to Hiram (Men's 3-1, Women's 1-3) to take on a Presidents' Athletic Conference foe as well as Oberlin (Men's 3-0, Women's 2-1) in the Hiram Tri-Meet. The Bison fell to the host Hiram by a score of 99-27 in the women's events and 165-7 in the men's events, and fell to the Yeomen by scores of 203-13 and 229-4 in the women's and men's events, respectively. Oberlin went on to beat Hiram in both the men's and women's events to sweep the Tri-Meet.
Competing for the Bison were sophomore
JulieAnne Humpe (Yorkville, Ohio/Wheeling Central Catholic) and freshman
Corbin Henry (Martinsburg, W.Va.).
Humpe led the Bison's women's team once again as she won the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:16.16 and also took fourth in the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 36.53 for 40 points on the day. Her victory in the 100-meter backstroke marks the first event win for a member of the Green and White this season.
Henry was the lone representative for the men's team where he took fifth in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:07.17, and sixth in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 29.78 to tally 11 points on the day.

The Bison are back in action on Thursday, November 20 as they travel to Canton, Ohio to compete in the Malone Mid-Season Invitational hosted by Malone (Ohio) University at 10 a.m. in C.T. Branin Natatorium.
