WHEELING, W.Va. - The Bethany College swimming and diving team competed in the Wheeling Senior Night Tri-Meet hosted by Wheeling (W.Va.) University in the Alma Grace McDonough Center.
Bethany wrapped up the 2025-26 regular season in a rematch against Wheeling where the Bison faced off against both the Cardinals and Fairmont (W.Va.) State University. The Green and White fielded their largest team of the season with six swimmers: three of them making their collegiate debuts. The Bison held their own against the two NCAA Division II schools, but the host Wheeling took home the victory as they celebrated their senior student-athletes.
The Bison were led by
JulieAnne Humpe (Yorkville, Ohio/Wheeling Central) who finished fourth in the 200-yard backstroke by recording a time of 2:37.85. She also swam the 50-yard freestyle where she finished sixth with a time of 29.45 and clocked a 1:11.76 in the 100-yard freestyle to finish fifth.
Also competing for the women's team were freshman
Jailyn Cline (Brilliant, Ohio/Buckeye Local) who finished eighth in the 50-yard freestyle by swimming a 39.70, and also swam the 100-yard backstroke where she finished with a time of 1:56.62

Aaliyah Heureaux (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) and sophomore
Angelina Clayborn (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) each swam in their first meet for the women's team where they swam a 47.43 and 52.74 in the 50-yard freestyle, respectively.

Corbin Henry (Martinsburg, W.Va.) led the men's team once again as he finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:21.51. The Bison first-year also swam a 26.55 in the 50-yard freestyle and a 1:00.41 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Simon Ginnelly (Connellsville, Pa.), competed in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 38.03 and in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:20.41.

The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, February 18 as they travel to Grove City, Pennsylvania to compete in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships in James E. Longnecker Competition Pool.
