ADA, Ohio - The Bethany College men's wrestling team competed at the 2026 NCAA Region IV Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University at the ONU Sports Center.
Bethany got a crack at the NCAA Regional Tournament in their first season back as nine different Bison went head-to-head against wrestlers from some of the best teams in the nation. The team finished 20th in the team standings with 9.5 points while No. 18 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University leads the team standings after one day with 120.5 points.
Four different Bison secured a win at the 2026 Regionals including freshman 133-pounder,
Aván Rosado (Florence, S.C./South Florence), sophomore 141-pounder
Angelo Di Pol (Paulsboro, N.J.), freshman 149-pounder
Jeremiah Stalling (Buckeye, Ariz./Buckeye Union), and All-PAC junior 184-pounder
Jonathan Braun (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley).
Rosado got the first Bethany win of the day with a 16-4 major decision in the consolation bracket to keep his season alive after falling in the second round.
Di Pol was back in action at 141 where he dropped the second-round match, but bounced back by winning a 10-7 decision in the consolation bracket.
Stalling fell short in the opening round, but got revenge by winning a 13-10 decision and advancing in the consolation bracket thanks to a medical forfeit.
Braun wrestled up a class for the first time all season, but still earned a victory by fall after falling in the championship bracket's second round.
