PAC Announces 2025-26 Indoor Track & Field Pre-Championships Coaches Polls

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College men's and women's track & field teams have been picked to finish fifth and tenth in the 2025-26 Presidents' Athletic Conference Pre-Championships Coaches Poll, respectively.

The Bison's women's team was predicted to finish tenth with 35 points after being selected 11th last year. The defending PAC Champion Grove City (Pa.) College was picked first with 119 points and nine first-place votes. Also receiving three first-place votes was Geneva (Pa.) College who finished with 112 points followed by Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College at third with 100 points. Allegheny (Pa.) College and Westminster (Pa.) College rounded out the top five with 81 points and 77 points, respectively.

On the men's side, the Green and White was selected fifth with 69 points after being picked eighth a season ago. Grove City was picked first in the men's events as well with 115 points and five first-place votes after winning back-to-back PAC Championships. Geneva received the most first-place votes with six but checked in at second with 113 points. Westminster received the final first-place vote with 99 points, followed by W&J with 96 points, and Bethany and Allegheny who tied for fifth.

Making the PAC Athletes to Watch list are Academic All-PAC senior Makenna Philson (Greenville, Pa.) and Academic All-PAC junior Madison Donelson (Lanham, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) from the women's team as well as freshman Juan Colon (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey), junior Mykel Davis (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park), freshman Jason Ellman (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep), and All-PAC junior Caliyph McClinton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Neighborhood Academy) to represent the men's team. 

Second-year Head Coach Jordan Johnson returns 16 letterwinners including one national qualifier, one U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region selection, and four Academic All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honorees from last year's squad. At last season's PAC Championships, the Bison finished 11th in the women's events with 14 team points and sixth in the men's events with 38.5 team points.

The Bison are back in action on Thursday, February 26 as they travel to Youngstown, Ohio to compete at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at 10:30 a.m. at the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
