YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Bethany College men's track and field team competed at the Presidents' Athletic Conference 2025-26 Indoor Championships at the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
Bethany was a familiar name on the PAC Indoor Track and Field Championships podium as the Bison placed seven top-five finishers across the day's 16 events. The Green and White finished sixth in the team standings with 54 points while Geneva (Pa.) College topped the leaderboard to win the PAC Championship with 113 points.
PAC Newcomer of the Week
Jason Ellman (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) was the Bison's only PAC Champion of the day as he set a new program and conference record in the long jump with a distance of 7.27 meters. The mark earned the team 10 points and currently ranks 10th in the nation.
Ellman also made the podium in the 200-meter dash where he ran a personal-best 21.72 to finish second for eight team points and placed third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.87. After the Championships, he was named the 2025-26 PAC Men's indoor Track and Field Newcomer of the Year.
All-PAC junior and PAC Track Athlete of the Week
Caliyph McClinton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Neighborhood Academy) also ran the 60 where he led the field in the preliminary round to earn a spot in the finals. He led the team by running a 6.87 in the finals to place second for the second time in his career for eight more team points.
Also earning silver was junior
Mykel Davis (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) who jumped a 1.99 in the high jump and junior
Jalen Britton (Fort Lee, Va./Prince George) who marked a 14.42 distance in the weight throw making it six top-three finishes for the Bison.Â
Freshman
Ziacheas White (Waycross, Ga./Ware County) ran a personal-best 7.03 in the 60 to finish fifth out of the 29-man field. Also running the 60 prelims were freshman
Ja'Vonni O'hara (Waycross, Ga./Ware County) with a time of 7.23, freshman
Duke Dudley (St. Petersburg, Fla./Canterbury) with a time of 7.38, and junior
Shavel Lesley (Whitehall, Ohio/Whitehall-Yearling) with a time of 7.40.
Junior
Daryes'e Fleming (Joppa, Md./Joppatowne) also ran in the 200 where he finished 14th with a time of 22.82 and led the team in the 400-meter dash by clocking a 51.38. During the awards ceremony,
Fleming was named to the PAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Sportsmanship Team. Freshman
Juan Colon (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey) joined
Fleming in both the 200 and the 400 where he timed a 22.86 and a 51.38, respectively.
Lesley rounded out the Bison runners in the 200 where he ran a 24.00.

Charvez Brooks (Gwynn Oak, Md./Forest Park) made up the Bison's 4x400-meter relay team that finished eighth with a time of 3:30.76.
JuniorÂ
Willie Holden (Exmore, Va./Bridgewater Academy) represented Bethany in the triple jump with a distance of 12.28 as well as freshman
Tyler Fett (Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) who jumped.a 11.27.
Holden also competed in the long jump where he recorded a distance of 6.02.
FreshmanÂ
Zion Mongeois (Royal Palm Beach, Fla./Palm Beach Central) had a height of 1.74 meters in the high jump to accompany
Davis.
Senior
Koda Moore (Proctor, W.Va./John Marshall), and juniors
Shonathan Desena (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area Senior) andÂ
Cyrus Brown (Clinton, Md./Surrattsville) each threw the shot put for the Bison.
Moore tossed a 11.59 to finish 11th,
Desena a 11.44 to finish 12th, and
Brown a 10.12 to finish 20th.
Moore also finished 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.63.
The Bison open the 2026 Outdoor Track and Field season on Saturday, March 28 as they travel to West Liberty, West Virginia to compete in the West Liberty Invitational hosted by West Liberty (W.Va.) University.
