LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Bethany College men's track & field 4x100-meter relay team competed at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
The Bison were back on the national stage as the best 4x100 in Bethany history earned a spot in the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships. This season, the 4x100 relay team comprised of freshman
Jamari Curlett (Erie, Pa./North East), freshman
Ziacheas White (Waycross, Ga./Ware County), freshman
Jason Ellman (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep), and freshman
Caliyph McClinton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Neighborhood Academy)Â shattered a program record at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships with a time of 40.64 seconds to win the conference title.
Coming off a PAC Championship and a USTFCCCA All-Region selection, the four Green and White speedsters prepped for one final race at the national championships. Bethany entered the 4x100 prelims with the fifth-fastest time among 16 teams on the start list, as
Curlett,
White,
Ellman, and
McClinton ultimately ran a 40.83 to finish fourth in their heat and eleventh overall, just missing the qualifying cutoff. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh set a new DIII Championship record with a time of 39.50 and takes the top seed heading into Saturday's event finals.
Bethany's route to nationals closes a legendary 2026 outdoor campaign for the Bison track & field teams that finished with three program records and four top-50 nationally ranked performances: two of which coming from the record-setting 4x100 relay team.
