NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Bethany College men's track and field team has placed six athletes on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Region Outdoor Track and Field team.
Six different Bison earned All-Region honors across nine events including freshman
Jason Ellman (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) in the 200-meter dash, long jump, and the 4x100 relay, freshman
Jamari Curlett (Erie, Pa./North East) in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100, junior
Jalen Britton (Fort Lee, Va./Prince George) in the discus, junior
Caliyph McClinton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Neighborhood Academy) in the 4x100, freshman
Ziacheas White (Waycross, Ga./Ware County) in the 4x100, and junior
Dave Rene (Boynton Beach, Fla./Lakewood) in the long jump.Â
Ellman collected three more all-region selections in the outdoor season after earning three following the indoor season. His first came in the 200 where he ran a 21.47 to take second at the Wooster Invitational to rank eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Ellman also finished first in the region in the long jump with a distance of 7.17 meters at the Mount Union Homon Invitational. He is also a part of the national-qualifying PAC Championship 4x100 team that ranks 12th in the country and first in the Mid-Atlantic with a time of 40.64 seconds.
Ellman won second at the conference championship in the long jump with a mark of 6.81, second in the 200 with a time of 21.96, and third in the 100 with a time of 10.92 to earn the PAC's MVP and Newcomer of the Year awards.
Curlett received his first career all-region accolades after a standout freshman season. He won the PAC Championship in the 100 and currently ranks third in the region with a time of 10.47 which he earned at the Akron Last Chance Invitational just two weeks ago.
Curlett is also a part of the 4x100 team that will be running at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. He won PAC Track Athlete of the Week on April 21.Â
Also a part of the 4x100 that broke a Bethany program record is
McClinton, who is named to the all-region team for the second time this year, and
White, who placed 12th in the 200 at this year's PAC Outdoor Championships.Â
Britton's program-record discus toss of 48.61 at the Homon Invitational ranks second in the Mid-Atlantic to earn him his first career all-region award. He also threw the hammer and the shot put this outdoor season and was named the PAC Field Athlete of the Week on April 14.
Rene rounds out the all-region selections after jumping a 6.75 in the long jump at the Homon Invitational to finish eighth in the region.
The 4x100 relay team will be back in action on Friday, May 22 as they travel to La Crosse, Wisconsin to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at 4:10 p.m. at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex.
