YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Bethany College women's track and field team competed at the Presidents' Athletic Conference 2025-26 Indoor Championships at the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
Bethany was small but mighty at the 2025-26 PAC Indoor Championships as the seven Bison competitors combined for 10 team points to finish 10th in the team standings. Geneva (Pa.) College took home the PAC Championship with 127 team points.
Junior
Madison Donelson (Lanham, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) had a big day for Bethany after winning silver in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 7.94 for eight team points. She also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash by clocking a 27.10 giving the Bison two more points.
Also running in the 60-meter preliminaries were freshman
Yakira Cunningham (Columbus, Ohio/Centennial) and
Azlyn Cates (Upper Marlboro, Md./Frederick Douglass).
Cunningham ran a 8.70 while
Cates ran a personal best 8.78 in each of their first PAC Championships appearances.
Junior
Mary Tracey (Clarksburg, W.Va./Liberty) also ran for the Bison in the 3000-meter run where she completed the event in a time of 14.41:00.
Sophomore
Marissa French (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) led the Bison in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 10.98 to finish 13th overall. She also threw a 9.65 in the shot put to place 17th.
In her final PAC Indoor Championship, senior
Makenna Philson (Greenville, Pa.) threw a team-best 10.05 meters in the shot put to place 16th out of 27. During the awards ceremony,
Philson was named to the PAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Sportsmanship Team.
Freshman
Ariana Augustine (Claysville, Pa./McGuffey) finished just behind
French at 14th in the weight throw with a 10.79-meter toss in her first PAC Championship and also notched a 9.63 in the shot put.
The Bison open the 2026 Outdoor Track and Field season on Saturday, March 28 as they travel to West Liberty, West Virginia to compete in the West Liberty Invitational hosted by West Liberty (W.Va.) University.
