NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Bethany College softball sophomore utility player
Amber Dedmon (Canton, Ohio/Canton South) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the first time in her career.
Dedmon earns the Bison's first weekly accolade of the 2026 season after leading the Bethany offense in their first four games of the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. She went 8-for-13 on the weekend to hit .615 with two doubles to lead the Green and White to a 4-0 start. In Bethany's first game against Saint Joseph,
Dedmon went a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI. She then collected three more hits against Elms with two stolen bases.
In her career,
Dedmon has appeared in 38 games and has made 37 starts. She has a lifetime average of .356 with 37 hits including two doubles and 17 RBI.
Dedmon has scored 25 runs and has stolen 10 bases in just two seasons for the Bison.
The Bison are back in action Monday, March 9 as they continue the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Florida by taking on La Roche (Pa.) University and the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford (Pa.) in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Lee County Sports Complex.
