WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Bethany College men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Otterbein Twilight Meet hosted by Otterbein (Ohio) University at Memorial Stadium.
Both the women's and men's teams finished within the top 15 of their respective team standings as the women's team finished 15th out of 19 teams and the men finished 11th out of 23 teams. The Bison women's team was led by junior
Madison Donelson (Lanham, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) who placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.78 while also leading the Bison in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.90 for a total of five team points.
Donelson was also a member of the women's 4x100 relay team along with junior
Cierra Toland (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park), sophomore
Shaelyn Anthony (Surprise, Ariz./Shadow Ridge), and freshman
Yakira Cunningham (Columbus, Ohio/Centennial) that ran a 51.48 to finish fifth overall and collected five team points.
In the men's events, the Bison were led by freshman
Jamari Curlett (Erie, Pa./North East) who continues his hot start by winning the 100 with a time of 10.58 for 10 team points.
Curlett also represented the team in the 4x100 alongside teammates
Jason Ellman (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep),
Ja'Vonni O'hara (Waycross, Ga./Ware County), and
Ziacheas White (Waycross, Ga./Ware County) as they broke a program record by clocking a time of 41.10 to finish third for six team points. The relay time now ranks within the top 15 in the nation.
Ellman also supplied Bethany with eight team points after placing second out of 50 runners in the 200 finals by timing a 21.50.Â
Junior
Dave Rene (Boynton Beach, Fla./Lakewood) added another point to the Green and White's team score by placing eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.69 meters.

The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, April 22 as they travel to Alliance, Ohio to compete at the Mount Union Classic hosted by the University of Mount Union (Ohio) at Kehres Stadium.
