Curlett Wins PAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Bethany College men's track and field freshman Jamari Curlett (Erie, Pa./North East) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.

Curlett earns his first weekly award by winning the Athlete of the Week as a freshman following his big start to the 2026 outdoor season. At last week's Otterbein Twilight Meet, Curlett won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.57 which ranks second in the PAC and fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region. He followed that up by leading the Bison 4x100 relay to break a program record with a time of 41.10 which ranks first in the conference, first in the region, and 15th in the nation.

In his first collegiate season, Curlett has competed in four meets and has five top-five performances on the year across two separate events. He has improved on his time in both the 100 and the 4x100 throughout each of his four meets and currently ranks 37th in the 100 nationally while he and his relay mates get set to compete at the Penn Relays: America's oldest and largest track and field competition.

The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, April 22 as they travel to Alliance, Ohio to compete at the Mount Union Classic hosted by the University of Mount Union (Ohio) at Kehres Stadium. Select members of the team will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvana on Thursday, April 23 to compete at the Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at 9:30 a.m. at Franklin Field.
